Traffic Rules & Cyber Crime

On this occasion Shri Sitaram J.B. CPI Siddapur was the chief guest. He delivered his speech on how dangerously the drug addiction is increasing in youngsters and how these youngsters are violating the traffic rules and how they are affected by cybercrime. He has given live examples of drug addiction in adolescents and the increasing POCSO cases. When riding vehicles on the road he gave examples on why the traffic rules are to be followed and how it affects the life if not followed. Then he gave awareness about cybercrimes happening in recent days and how these crimes are being done by the so called “educated” only. So all should be aware of fraudsters and keep themselves safe by ignoring the fraud messages, phone calls who request to deposit money and fetch personal data.

Ethnic day 2025

Successful organization of Ethnic day and “Ruchi Sambhrama” Food fest held on 27^th March, 2025. Program was hosted with grand welcome in the enterence of the college by Dollu Kunita which is the traditional art form. The the program was inaugurated by Inaugurator Shri V.V. Nayak, and he spoke in his speech by addressing the gathering “the traditions are now a days followed by old generations. The present generations should not skip the traditions, all should inculcate it in daily life. The celebration of ethnic day should not limit for one day, it should continue forever”.

Later on another event Ruchi Sambhrama- the traditional food fest hosted under Commerce Forum, which was inaugurated by Shri V.V. Nayak. Total 13 teams of students had participated in food fest. They came prepared with varieties of foods and all of them given nice food presentation.

Awareness of Aids disease and its prevention – Competition 2025

An essay competition on “Awareness of Aids disease and its prevention” was organized by Taluk Hospital Siddapur. 7 students Participated & submitted their essay papers, which was evaluated by Taluk Hospital Siddapur. Out of 7, 3 ranks were allotted to our college students. Prateeksha Dodmane of B.A.III secured the 1^st prize, the 2^nd Prize was won by Nirmala Madival of B.A. III year and the 3^rd prize was bagged by Deepika Naik of B.A. III year. The winners were also awarded with cash prizes of Rs. 600, 500, 400 respectively by the counselor Shri Jagadeesh Naik of Taluk Hospital Siddapur who was also the chief guest for the Prize distribution ceremony on March 24, 2025

In his main speech, Shri Jagadeesh addressed the gathering by giving vital facts of regarding aids & suggested preventive measures to control it.

P.U. Inter College Events 2024

Taluka Level Competition was organized for all PU College students of Siddapure Taluk on December 13, 2024. Students of all 8 colleges participated in the competition. In total, 90 students enrolled and participated in the competition. Three competitions were organized viz., organizing of competitions for Inter PU College students of Siddapur talluk on events like Folk Song (Group event), Debate and Drawing competition. Program was inaugurated by senior director of Shikshana Prasaraka Samiti, Shri G.K. Hegde Golgod, in his speech he spoke on how students of present era need to adjust towards changing world by developing job oriented skills, upgrade skill-set and become good citizens of the country to build a strong nation”. Shri Annappa Shreepad Raikar, Chief guest of the function sponsored the events. He spoke in his speech as “though he was not educated much but he has responsibility towards society in making present generation as educated and he has interest to help to those who are struggling to get education”.

In the program MGC PU college Principal Shreeshail Kondagulikar was present.

Judges for various events belonged to varied fields having expertise in their art of work. Shri Ganapati Hegde Gunjagod, Shri Chaitanya Hegde, Vidwan Sudarshan Bhat Gattikai, Shri Nitin Bhaskar Hegde, Smt. Sumitra B Shet and Rajendra Kolagi gave their judgments for different events.

Valedictory function was organized at 2.30pm followed by the prize distribution ceremony. The President of Shikshana Prasaraka Samiti Dr. Shashibhushan Hegde, addressed the gathering by stating “in the global level students have to save our culture and should develop competitive mentality in order to face competition”. Shri V.K. Nayak, Shri Ganapati Hegde Gunjagodu shared his opinion on the entire event. Prof. Jagannath Moger, Principal of the college, presided over the function.

Samarth R Hegde- Govt. PU College Haladakatta stood Second

Chitra A- Govt. PU College Haladakatta secured the Third Place

Drawing Competition –

Madan M Naik- Chetana PU Science College Siddapur stood First

Jeevan S Naik- Govt. PU College Halageri stood Second

Varshita M Mahale-Jnanasagara PU College Bilagi secured the Third Place.

World AIDS Day 2024

On occasion of World AIDS Day, Dr. Laxmikant Naik, Taluka Health Officer, Siddapur addressed students on AIDS and the increasing number of AIDS patients in youth. He also stated that the educated themselves are affected by the disease due to lack of awareness.
