A value-added, skill-based certificate run alongside the B.Com degree. It was introduced on 27 September 2025 by Prof. V. Kirankumar, Head of the Department of Commerce.

- 42-hour certified curriculum for B.Com students

Department of History & Archaeology
Value-added Course in Tourism & Heritage
For B.A. final-year students · launched 2025-26
A skill-based add-on course on the region's history, monuments and tourism potential. Prof. Pramod Hegde, Head of the Department of History at GFGC Kumta, introduced the course at its inauguration on 27 September 2025.
- Builds on the history of Siddapur, Banavasi, Bilagi and the Malnad region
- Explains the importance of heritage and tourism today
