How students are trained
At admission, the Physical Director briefs students on sports facilities and guides them according to their physique, interests and past achievements. Selection trials in athletics and games form the college teams, which then get fixed practice time. Based on practice, performance and conduct, players are sent to zonal and inter-collegiate tournaments.
The year closes with class-wise and section-wise sports competitions and a two-day athletics meet held on the Olympic theme, followed by a prize distribution. Best Sportsman and Best Sportswoman awards go to those who contribute most, and students who bring laurels at inter-collegiate, zonal and inter-zonal level are specially honoured.
